Bio
Owen Jackoboice is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, educator, artist, bandleader, and arranger based in Nashville TN. Owen provides an all inclusive package of guitar, piano, trumpet, and vocals for the price of one. As a Nashville native, Owen has always been and continues to be a student of honest songwriting and virtuosic musicianship.
Owen began writing and releasing original music in eighth grade with his band, Fly to the Sun. Over the next six years, Fly to the Sun would record and release one EP and three full length albums of Owen’s original music. Owen got his first performing experience with Fly to the Sun, notably performing multiple times at the Music City Grand Prix and at the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Music Festival.
Owen currently performs as a genre-fluid sideman for a multitude of artists in the Nashville area. Notable artists Owen has played with include Lainey Seitz (Pop), Holly Wiper (Pop), Aniston Pate (Country), and Esi Okai-Tetteh (R&B). Owen also leads children's and young adult worship at Christ Church Cathedral in downtown Nashville.
As a songwriter and performing artist, Owen gravitates towards the country and Americana music he grew up with in Nashville. Owen also has a love for vocal music, and specializes in arranging for Contemporary A Cappella. One of Owen’s arrangements was performed at the ICCA finals in 2026 on Broadway in New York City by Prismatics A Cappella. Owen has directed the music of the Prismatics A Cappella group for the last two years and has gained valuable experience as an arranger and choir director as a result.
Owen has been blessed with a robust education in music; one which he strives to pour back into his own students as a teacher. Owen currently teaches after school lessons at the University School of Nashville, and at Music Lab Nashville. Owen also teaches in-home lessons out of his private studio. Owen strives to incorporate a curriculum of fundamentals while also keeping the musical goals of his students in mind. At present, Owen enjoys teaching songwriting, trumpet, guitar, beatboxing, piano, and voice.
Owen is currently a student at Belmont University, where he has performed with the following school ensembles: Chorale, the Belmont University Chamber Singers, Concert Band, The Vocal Collective, Southbound, and Voxology.
As a Christian, Owen believes wholeheartedly in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is Owen’s hope that the art he produces as a musician will move others to contemplate the implications of faith in Jesus.
